YomaBarr This sounds garage. In a good way. You know. As if the guys met, opened beers and said "OK, and now let's make some metal".
And they did :)

KillingForCompany I'm telling you -.This band is just getting started. An interesting blend of raw black, some death metal phrasing, and post-hardcore. A young but deft hand on the pulse of USBM. Full length coming in here in 2020! Favorite track: Cloak of Dying Light.
METAL MATT

METAL MATT This is the some Brutal music! I cannot fathom how these guy's aren't signed to a big record label yet. Some of the BEST Metal that I've heard lately and I will be following these guys from here on out. Horns Up and Stay Metal! \m/

flightoficarus (Metal Trenches) How can I say no to helping out an underground band that somehow channels the icy cold of Norwegian forests from the hot and hazy South? Trust me ya'll, I lived in Memphis for 5 years, and there is nothing kvlt about it being 90 degrees and humid at 10 o'clock at night. In any case, these dudes do a great job of channeling all of the old tropes. I could easily be tricked into thinking this was some lost Scandinavian album from the 90's.
metaltrenches.com/reviews/aphelion-i-2023 Favorite track: Inferno Malefic.

greggphilly Where has this been all my life? I sort of stumbled upon the band by accident...i think i was scrolling thru facebook or instagram and saw an ad with a 15 second snippet from one of their songs....needless to say that was all i needed to hear to check out their album on youtube while i was couchlocked at a party. A few friends around me took an interest too. Immediately we knew that there was some serious talent here and a sound that seperates them from anything else Ive heard. Theres nothing i dont like about the album; it fucking shreds and I cant wait for "II" to come out.
Meatbreak

Meatbreak The US-based three-piece deliver four imperious tracks of seething, shimmering raw melodicism, buttressed by choral drone-ambient on the way in and out of the storm.

An excellently arresting ep. Favorite track: Cloak of Dying Light.
